THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS ARE DEPLOYED ACROSS THE WORLD IN PLACES OF DANGER, COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM LOVE OF FAMILY AND COMFORTS OF HOME. THEY CANNOT EVEN ENJOY THE FREEDOMS FOR WHICH THEY FIGHT ON BEHALF OF OTHERS. PERSONALLY KNOWING THE WORRY ABOUT THE SAFETY OF A LOVED ONE, ASHLEY IS WORKING WITH HER MOM ON A PROJECT TO SEND PACKAGES TO THE TROOPS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. THESE PACKAGES CONTAIN CASSETTE TAPE RECORDERS, TAPES, STORYBOOKS AND OTHER ITEMS NECESSARY TO SEND RECORDED MESSAGES AND STORIES HOME. PLEASE VISIT THE WEB SITE LINKED ABOVE TO READ MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT CALLED FROM OUR HEARTS. ASHLEY ALSO ENCOURAGES YOU TO VISIT THE SITE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CALLED AMERICA SUPPORTS YOU AS WELL AS SOLDIERS ANGELS. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS AND STRENGTHEN THEIR FAMILIES.

A child in any land is still a child. I can only imagine their terror.

The children are the key to peace and the future.

"Fighting together to live in peace"

Prayer-they can't live without it.

Josh got to spend a few minutes talking to Rascal Flatts. I'm glad they gave their time to brighten the day for our troops. Awesome!

You can Help

You can help support our deployed troops and their families. There are so many groups trying to make life more bearable for our home-grown heros. I think everyone should do what they can. Having been safe at home, enjoying freedoms  we take for granted and worrying about my brother and his friends, I understand what other familiy members are feeling. To make it a little easier on them, my mom and I started a program to send tapes, tape recorders and story books to deployed troops. That way they can send these stories home and their small children can read along with mommy or daddy. It seems to bring them a little closer to home.  The stories Josh recorded before he left were very important to my very small nieces who didn't understand why they didn't see Daddy.

We don't  collect any money for this (and we are not asking for any), and we are not yet a non-profit, so we just work extra hours to be able to send these things. If you know of any deployed troops who might be interested in receiving a package from us, please let us know.  If you haven't experienced the empty feeling of knowing someone you love is in death's eyesight, count yourself lucky, but think about what you can do for others. And check my other website for more details about what we send.

God bless our troops and their families!
