You can help support our deployed troops and their families. There are so many groups trying to make life more bearable for our home-grown heros. I think everyone should do what they can. Having been safe at home, enjoying freedoms we take for granted and worrying about my brother and his friends, I understand what other familiy members are feeling. To make it a little easier on them, my mom and I started a program to send tapes, tape recorders and story books to deployed troops. That way they can send these stories home and their small children can read along with mommy or daddy. It seems to bring them a little closer to home. The stories Josh recorded before he left were very important to my very small nieces who didn't understand why they didn't see Daddy. We don't collect any money for this (and we are not asking for any), and we are not yet a non-profit, so we just work extra hours to be able to send these things. If you know of any deployed troops who might be interested in receiving a package from us, please let us know. If you haven't experienced the empty feeling of knowing someone you love is in death's eyesight, count yourself lucky, but think about what you can do for others. And check my other website for more details about what we send.God bless our troops and their families!
