A country singer with her sights on the future and her heart set on full speed ahead, Ashley has been performing  since 1999 for crowds of all sizes and persuasion. A fierce defender of independent thought and personal freedoms, Ashley encourages others to pursue their aspirations and dreams.

The sister of a Marine safely returned from Iraq, Ashley helped establish  "WordsFromWarriors" to send  cassette recorders, tapes, and storybooks to troops so that deployed parents can send bedtime stories home to their children. Check out the web site at www.wordsfromwarriors.com.

Ashley represented OBCMAI and the State of Florida in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and  received the Horizon Award for Entertainer of the Year for 2011 and her debut CD "Read My Lipstick" was named Country Album of the Year.

In March of  2010, Ashley  was named the Rising Star Entertainer of the Year, Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year, and Patriotic Songwriter of the Year by the North American Country Music Associations, International.

In July of 2009 and 2010, she was named OBCMAI Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year for the State of Florida. In September of 2007 Ashley was voted the 2007 National Jaycee Idol at the National Jaycees Convention in Omaha, Nebraska.

Ashley believes that everyone has a gift to share with those around them, and all of us can make life better in some way. Perhaps it is a phone call, a visit, hands-on volunteerism, blood donation, cash, or encouragement. The opportunities  to help are endless. Ashley's favorites include: WordsFromWarriors; The Fisher House; The Angelus Home in Hudson , Fl;  The American Cancer Society Relay For Life; and  Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Foundation, Everyday Blessings foster facility and the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Ashley sings a variety of current country favorites as well as the tried and true hits of  country legends. She also has a growing collection of originals destined to become favorites in their own right.  Her first CD of original recordings, produced by country music legend Jim Vest, was released in November of 2010.

Think you need a lot of money to help your community or make a difference in someone's life? Well, check out the new  page on my site called "Love Locks!"

My 8 year old neice Mackenzie wanted to do something to help other kids. Since she is short on cash as a third grader, when she heard about "Locks of Love" she knew what she wanted to do.  So, she has started a Locks of Love club at her school and is working hard to recruit as many of her friends as classmates as possible to commit to donating their hair in the spring at the local Relay For Life event in March.  Don't know what Locks of Love is all about? Check out her page and find out!

If a little girl can recognize the need and importance of helping others, surely the rest of us can find ways to help as well.

Let us know what ways you have found to give back to your communities!

Happy fall everyone!
